Note presenting force and moment characteristics for elliptic cones, which have been experimentally determined for Mach numbers of 1.97 and 2.94. The results indicate that there are distinct aerodynamic advantages to the use of elliptic cones. Results regarding experimental force and moment characteristics, comparisons of theoretical and experimental pressure distributions, forces, and moments, and visual observations of flow over models are provided.
