Abstract

This paper discusses limitations of conventional detection methods for harmonic and reactive currents. Based on adaptive interference canceling theory, an adaptive detecting method for power system harmonic and reactive currents is presented. A detection system based on this method is developed, and test results are given which verify the feasibility of the method proposed. A new real-time detecting method for harmonic and reactive currents is provided for dynamic compensation equipment such as active power filters, static VAr compensators, etc.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
