Critical current density (Jc) and irreversibility field (Birr) were measured for a GdBa2Cu3O7?? film with gold nanorods which were elongated along the c-axis of the film. The crossover from the single vortex pinning to the plastic pinning region occurred near B? at 10?K. The 'peak effect' in the Jc?B characteristics at 50?82?K and the kink in the Birr?T curve (Tirr = 87.4?K) were observed near B??(= 0.43?T), when the magnetic fields were applied parallel to the c-axis of the film. The matching field effects have significant roles to determine the behaviours of the vortices in the REBa2Cu3O7?? (RE: Y, Gd, Sm, etc) films with correlated pinning centres, like nanorods, regardless of temperature.
