American Cancer Society guidelines for the early detection of prostate cancer

Abstract

The American Cancer Society recently convened a workshop to review existing guidelines for the screening of prostate cancer in view of the growing amount of research data regarding screening and early detection since the original guidelines were put forth in 1992. This article provides an overview of these revised guidelines.
