Coefficients of self-diffusion are reported for liquid H2, D2, and H2–D2 mixtures from the melting points to within about 10 °K of the gas–liquid critical points. The data are interpreted with the quasilattice theory for self-diffusion with corrections for quantum mechanical tunneling. Satisfactory agreement is obtained between the theory and experiment for hydrogen as well as liquid argon.
