Neuroendocrine carcinoma of the ampulla of Vater: a clinicopathologic evaluation.

Abstract

The relative incidence of high-grade neuroendocrine carcinomas of the ampulla of Vater is higher than that generally expected. The tumors behave aggressively and have a dismal prognosis despite aggressive treatment.
