To investigate the extent to which a doubling of the CO/sub 2/ concentration would alter the earth's climate, a hierarchy of mathematical climate models was used to simulate the change in the equilibrium climate resulting from a doubling of the CO/sub 2/ concentration from 300 to 600 ppM. The results from simulations by energy balance models, radiative-convective models, and atmospheric general circulation models are critiqued in this report. (ACR)
