Abstract Education for interdisciplinary health care teams is proposed as one approach to improving health care for older people. Barriers to interdisciplinary work are discussed, and goals, structured and orientation for such teams are proposed. Faculty role modeling of interdisciplinary team work is cited as an essential part of an interdisciplinary educational effort.
