Summary Gray snappers were immunized with dinitrophenylated hemocyanin and purified anti- bodies to the haptenic determinant (2,4-dinitrophenol) were obtained from two serum pools by by immune absorption. Examination of these antibodies revealed a single high molecular weight protein with an apparent valence of 5 and a relatively low binding constant.
