Dynamic Response of Footings to Vertical Loading

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to describe the dynamic behavior of footings and to develop practical methods for dynamic analysis. The investigations are limited to the case of a rigid circular footing resting on a plane soil surface and excited by a vertical time-dependent force in the axis of symmetry.
