Abstract

The book is clearly written, and the electrocardiographic examples of the various rhythm disturbances are also clear and well described. Written primarily for medical students, house officers, and noncardiologist physicians, the book nonetheless serves as a useful review of arrhythmias for cardiologists or fellows in cardiology but would not be an adequate reference text for subspecialists in cardiology. The strongest features of this book are the electrocardiographs recordings, clearly displayed in a 12-lead format with 3-lead rhythm strips. Most books of this type include single-lead rhythm strips that do not clearly correlate with the descriptions of the various diagnostic criteria used to interpret rhythm abnormalities. The excellent illustrations in this book alleviate this difficulty in interpretation that is so common in texts that deal with arrhythmias.
