A brief review of some of the facts about magnesium will be made and then evidence from the clinical course of patients, balance studies and correlation of findings will be presented. An adult human body weighing 70 kg. contains about 21.0 gm. of magnesium, according to Shohl,1and about 29 gm., according to Widdowson, McCance and Spray2and Duckworth and Warnock.3This discrepancy can be accounted for chiefly by differences in the skeletal content.
