In the different domains where flexible filtering is necessary, multicriterion aggregation operators may be used to model specific aggregative behaviors. The authors propose an operator allowing the expression of a hierarchical effect in the aggregation of fuzzy predicates, particularly in the context of imprecise querying of ordinary databases, i.e., where the data are known exactly. After having specified the notion of hierarchical aggregation, the definition of the proposed operator is indicated based on the use of a norm and a mean. Several of its properties are studied, particularly with regard to the evaluation of the queries.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
