Abstract

Purpose The author aims to introduce this themed issue on personal knowledge management. Design/methodology/approach The author discusses some of the issues surrounding personal and organisational knowledge management, and then introduces the papers in this themed issue. Findings Personal knowledge management is an under‐researched area. This themed issue contributes both technical and theoretical papers to the field. Originality/value The paper provides an introduction to this themed issue.
