This paper describes a novel millimeter wave slotted waveguide array antenna that was developed for automotive radar systems. The antenna which is fabricated by metal injection molding, can be manufactured at low cost and is suitable for mass production. The paper describes the design of the antenna and how it has achieved high efficiency results.
