Anti-(DNA-histone) antibodies in active lupus nephritis.

Abstract

Anti-(DNA-histone) antibodies are present in active lupus nephritis and largely represent antinucleosome antibodies. They may contribute to the pathogenesis of nephritis by forming immune complexes with apoptosis related nucleosomes.
