Decay of High Order Optical Vortices in Anisotropic Nonlinear Optical Media

Abstract

We present an experimental and theoretical study of the decay of high order optical vortices in media with an anisotropic nonlocal nonlinearity. Vortices with charge $n$ decay into an aligned array of $n$ vortices of unit charge.
