Abstract By 1 H‐ and 19 F‐NMR spin‐echo techniques the self‐diffusion coefficients of a number of spherical or almost spherical molecules dissolved in CS 2 and CCl 4 , respectively, were measured at 21 °C as a function of concentration. It turns out, that the self‐diffusion coefficient of the dissolved molecules approaches the self‐diffusion coefficient of the solvent at infinite dilution. In a few binary systems, C 6 H 6 ‐C 6 F 6 , C 6 F 6 ‐C 6 H 12 , C 6 F 6 ‐(CH 3 ) 4 Si, the self‐diffusion coefficients of both species have been measured over the whole temperature range of the liquid state as a function of concentration.
