The phosphodiesterase‐5 inhibitor vardenafil improves cardiovascular dysfunction in experimental diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Our results demonstrate that impaired vascular cGMP signalling contributes to the development of diabetic vascular and cardiac dysfunction, which can be prevented by chronic phosphodiesterase-5 inhibition.
