Summary: Two patients with chromomycosis presenting as an erythematous scaly plaque on a nipple are reported, who were successfully treated by local heat therapy using a pocket warmer. The strain of Fonsecaea pedrosoi isolated from a patient was killed after incubation for 18 days at 42°C and after 6 days at 45°C. Effectiveness of local heat therapy for chromoycosis is discussed.
