Cytochromec peroxidase, purified from bakers' yeast, has been obtained in crystalline form.Upon the addition of hydroperoxides, crystals of the enzyme were readily converted to those of Complex ES without modification of their crystalline form.As judged from their size, shape, and stability, these crystals of cytochrome c peroxidase and Complex ES appear to be a suitable material for biophysical studies of a single crystal.
