Abstract

Abstract A study of chain transfer in catalyzed polymerization of methyl acrylate in the presence of eleven solvents has been made and chain transfer constants calculated. The anomalous results obtained for chloroform and carbon tetrachloride are discussed and sources of errors and assumptions that are usually made in such studies are also briefly reviewed.
