A NEW GOLDEN MOLE FROM SOMALIA WITH AN APPENDIX ON THE TAXONOMY OF THE FAMILY CHRYSOCHLORIDAE (MAMMALIA, INSECTIVORA)

Abstract

SUMMARY The author describes a new species of Amblysomus (Mammalia, Insectivora, Chrysochloridae) based on material from owl-pellets found in Giohar (Somalia). The affinities of the new mole and the systematics of the Chrysochloridae are discussed.
