EVALUATION of the many factors associated with the transfer of heat caused by the evapo[ation of body sweat has been a subject of major interest over the past three decades, Skin wettedness (Ref 7) was early observed as a significant factor associated with the sense C'pleasantness'' and more recently with t'comfort'' of the environment(Ref 8, 9, and 21).Physiologists(Ref 2 and 22) have observed before from thei[ experiments that the same environmental factors that govern the transfer of heat by convection from man's skin .surfacealso govern the transfer-of heat by
