Development and Characterization of Niosomal Formulations of Doxorubicin Aimed at Brain Targeting

Abstract

The developed NPG-niosomal formulation gave rise to stable, nano-sized vesicles, able to improve doxorubicin brain delivery. Positive results of preliminary in vivo studies require future pharmacokinetic studies to gain more insight into the mechanism of drug transport of functionalized niosomes.
