Chronic subdural hematoma: comparison of two surgical techniques. Preliminary results of a prospective randomized study.

Abstract

Preliminary results indicate TDC and BHC as at least equally effective, however TDC favors faster regression of residual subdural effusion, is a faster procedure, and seems to be associated with fewer recurrences. If confirmed at the end of the study, these results could indicate TDC with suction as the elective surgical treatment for CSDH.
