Abstract

Enlarged spleen, involvement of three or more lymph node areas, and bulky disease are predictable risk factors for HD splenic deposits. Splenic involvement on computed tomography scan or ultrasonography is significantly associated with relapse and contributes to a poorer outcome of HD in children treated with chemotherapy alone.
