Abstract In mice and in dogs, the usefulness of infusions of marrow in reducing the toxicity of thio-TEPA is limited to a very narrow range of dose of drug in which prompt restoration of hematopoiesis seems critical to survival. Below this range, control animals recover spontaneously; above this range, damage to other organ systems precludes survival.
