Abstract

[EN] The excellent preservation of wood at the site of La Draga (5,300-5,000 cal. B.C.) allows
\nthe analysis of its transformation process. In this paper we describe the production process
\nof wooden instruments. We review how the raw material was obtained, what were
\nthe techniques used to cut and chip logs and how the final production of tools was carried
\nout. We also review the stone tools from La Draga that were used for woodworking :
\nadzes, blades, flakes of flint and wood wedges. The experimental work allows the testing
\nof hypotheses about the production processes of wooden artefacts and an evaluation of
\nwhich different tools of stone and wood recovered in the site were used in which part of
\nthe working process.
