Abstract

These results suggest that an autoantigen exists in the corneal stroma that reacts with serum antibodies from patients with Mooren's ulcer. The availability of a purified corneal antigen could facilitate the diagnosis and define the pathogenetic mechanisms in Mooren's ulcer.
