Both in cows and buffaloes single quarter and rear quarter involvement was maximum. Majority of cases occurred during third lactation, between 5 to 7 years of age. Maximum number of cases occurred during September, October and November, and during first 3 months of lactation. Out of 613 isolates Staphylococcus spp. was most prevalent organism. As many as 99.46% of the bacteria isolated were found sensitive to enrofloxacin.
