Layered double hydroxide of Zn and Al, intercalated with hexacyanoferrate(II) ions, as a sorbent for removing cesium radionuclides from aqueous solutions

Abstract

Sorption of cesium radionuclides from aqueous solutions with layered double hydroxide of Zn and Al, intercalated with hexacyanoferrate(II) ions, was studied. The effect of Na+, K+, and Ca2+ on the degree of cesium removal from aqueous solutions was determined, and high selectivity of the sorbent was demonstrated.
