Abstract

Reminiscing and life review are adaptive tasks of old age. This article describes an occupational therapy group program for confused nursing home residents designed to facilitate reminiscing and promote the review process. Results of the study indicate that behaviors of confused residents improved during group meetings and that participants who attended most frequently showed the greatest change in behavior.
