Abstract

Ten months after the Sisters of St. Casimir transferred sponsorship of Loretto Hospital in Chicago to a for-profit management company, the inner-city hospital has stabilized its operations through layoffs, increased admissions, streamlined operations and improved billing and collections. Now, Loretto is working to regain the support that it lost over years of million-dollar losses.
