Gassmann's Equation
Gassmann's Equation is a fundamental rock physics model that describes the relationship between the elastic moduli of a porous medium and the compressibility of its saturating fluid, enabling the prediction of seismic velocities in fluid-saturated rocks based on their dry-frame properties and pore-fluid characteristics.
